Students will develop confidence to explore future options and opportunities

The Heartland Engineering and Aviation Technology Center

The program brings alive the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) through guided sequential lessons and activities.

This program will help our youth make informed decisions about what options and opportunities they may want to explore in the future. Our high school youth will spend two mornings (Monday and Wednesday) for two 90-minute class periods at The HEAT Center, located at the Sebring Regional Airport. Students will be transported by the school district from their home school to the airport, and then return to their school for a late lunch. On Friday mornings they will be at their home school for two 45-minute periods completing on-line assignments related to their course work.

Apply Today for Early Enrollment!

While we know some of our students will not move on to be aircraft builders and aeronautical engineers, the skills they have learned are transferable to any workplace. This program will help our youth make informed decisions about what options and opportunities they may want to explore in the future.

Key Elements of The Program

A successful program will depend upon the people involved. We are very fortunate to have developed an outstanding team dedicated to helping our youth develop their options and opportunities.
